Make your own Seed Starting Mix or Potting MixIt’s March so it’s time to start some cool season crops from seed. Seed starting mix can get pretty expensive and can still have lumps and big particles messing it up. So, always the thrifty ones, we make our own potting mix. And it couldn’t be easier!

The basic recipe: Equal parts…
Peat Moss
Compost
Vermiculite/Perlite

Seeds we are starting:
Broccoli
Cabbage
Lettuces (like 10 different varieties)
Herbs
Green Onions/Spring Onions
Artichokes
