We will be direct sowing our peas, beans, cukes and zukes later, so for now that means tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. Starting Seeds, Lunar Gardening, and Kicking off the 2015 Garden Season!

So there really isn’t that much time off. We are usually out of the garden, depending on the weather, in October. But there are still things to put up. Sometimes it’s November or December before I get around to baking and freezing my pumpkin puree. Peppers dry down on their own nicely and are still quite usable so they usually get pushed aside for more urgent vegetables (cough, cough, tomatoes).  So I am often still putting away garden stuff  into December and in early February the seed catalogs start coming and it’s time to pick and plan for summer!
